In Holland, the schematics were published in the "Elektuurz' magazine, special edition. I can't find a date :
"Elektuur extra Computing", 2e speciale computer uitgave"
The schematics consist of 8 pages, signed John Ferguson, June 1983.
I have this magazine and I can scan the pages if needed. Indeed, dutch only :) Hans, http://www.hansotten.com
Thank you all for any help that you can give me. I've discovered that my board works, but keeps spuriously spitting out characters that are either 7Fh or FFh via the serial port. I do not have a parallel keyboard, so cannot see if that problem will disappear if I plug one in. I've done a little work on using a PIC 16F84 to make a PS/2 style keyboard appear as a parallel, but that's not finished. Once it is, I'll have to find some way of connecting it up to a VGA monitor, as I don't exactly have any other suitable display.
I've worked out where the boot rom is located in memory, and am disasembling it to see if I can discover the ports, etc. For some reason, this board fascinates me. There's so much at work there.
Did someone mention a bios for CP/M? I can see something marked SASI on here too, could a SCSI ZIP100 drive be made to work with that? If there are any resources that can be sent to me, I'd appreciate anything. I cannot read dutch, however - for that, there's always babelfish, I suppose.
For Babelfish you need OCR'ed data !
OK, I managed to scan both the sheets and the article. The quality is not perfect, but well ....
I have put the file bbii.zip on my website. There is no link to it on the page, so type in the link manually :
http://home.hccnet.nl/j.bus/bbii.zip
(for me it starts downloading, so you should be able to get it)
The text files page1.txt - page3.txt have been manually proof read, the other text files are direct OCR output. If you have specific questions I will be glad to answer them, but my time is limited, so I don't think I will do the other text files myself. I will try to help with translation problems, if there are any :>)
PS : perhaps it would be nice to put them on the web when you have
translated them :>) There probably are more people interested ?Have fun, Hans Bus
PPS : there is one more .jpg, with the component layout, but my web
space ran out. Post when you have picked up the zip, I will
then put up the remaining file.
