A little off topic, but why is your employer blocking access to a google
service? It's a specific block, or do they block all outside net access
without a firewall password or some other sort of special access privilege?
I was about to chime in with a similar comment.
Could you make the argument you need access to Google Groups for your job? My employer was recently acquired by another company and I immediately started hearing complaints from co-workers about MySpace and YouTube being blocked. My first thought was, "Uh, what are you doing visiting those sites from work?"
I do search Google Groups at work because it helps me when I'm writing scripts. I write in Perl about once every two months and sometimes forget how to do things. :-)
