slrn question

hi,
this is a question regarding slrn, i don't know where else to post.
Please point to me if any slrn specific groups are there.
I built a slrn, this is the version information.

slrn 0.9.9p1
S-Lang Library Version: 2.0.0

DEFAULTS:
Default server object: nntp
Default posting mechanism: nntp

everything is working fine, but when a open the articles in the
article thread, i am seeing
junk characters like "â ââ>". Any one else if facing this problem
