Many times I receive emails where there are 20 or 30 people listed in
the TO field or CC field. Is there a hook or some way I can do a
conditional 'ignore' when the TO or CC fields have more than N people
listed or are more than N lines long?

I use the great "mail-to-filter" perl script by Gary Johnson.

Put it somewhere in your $PATH and I have the following macros:

macro pager \e0 ":unset display_filter; exec exit\n:exec display-message\n" "Turn display filter off"
macro pager \e1 ":set display_filter='mail-to-filter'; exec exit\n:exec display-message\n" "Turn display filter on"

Actually my real macro/display filter is a little more complex
than that, because I also use t-prot TOFU protection for
excessive quoting and overly long signatures. You may be
