Do you, besides Yahoo!'s web-based mailer, use a normal mailer? If so,
you may want to use YPOPs! [1] together with your normal mailer. YPOPs!
'sits' between your normal mailer and Yahoo! and 'talks' POP/IMAP and
SMTP to your mailer and HTTP to Yahoo! Of course YPOPs! can not solve
all Yahoo! Mail problems, but often solves a lot of them.
