Welcome!
I found documentation on how to customize the toolbar. Not the most
intuitive, but at least it can be done. However there are a couple
things I can't figure out.
How do you add a "divider" or "separator" or whatever to create groups
of buttons on the toolbar? I think it must be possible, because it
looks like there is a separator of sorts (a small gap between adjacent
buttons). But I've not been able to figure out how to put separators
where I want them.
If you use Special->Settings->Toolbar on Steroids (which I think you get
when you install the Esoteric Settings), you get the option to set the
spacing between buttons (I have mine set at 2), extra spacing between (I
have mine set at 4) and the buttons per group (I have mine set at 4).
Perhaps not exactly what you want, but close. Toolbar on Steroids also
lets you choose horizontal vs. vertical toolbar, and whether you want
big or small icons, names or no names on your toolbar. (I use vertical,
names only). You can also map function keys to buttons.
Also, I can't seem to find buttons (or menu commands) for
- Reply All
- Redo
- Print Preview
- Compact Mailboxes
I suppose Print Preview might not be available on the Mac interface,
File->Print... then click on Preview
and Compact Mailboxes might not apply to the Mac version.
Click on the box at the bottom of the mailbox (the one that shows the
number of messages, the size of the mailbox and the size of the deleted
message). That will compact that mailbox. I think it's option-click to
compact all the mailboxes.
I could even
live without Redo... But Reply All??? Surely there's a menu command
(other than holding the "apple" key down while hitting reply)...
That's how you do it. I've created a button in my toolbar for it to
make it easier.
One other thing... In the PC version you could install the older icon
versions by copying EudoraOldIcons.epi into the Eudora directory. So
far I haven't seen anything like that in the Mac distribution... Any
chance??
There's a plug-in for it -- I know, because I have it installed. The
problem with so many of these things is that once you do it, you forget
where it is done... Andrew Starr's plugin page is an excellent resource
for those looking to tweak Eudora:

Hope this helps.
