These settings control when Eudora will interpret or generate
format=flowed. Set to 1 to turn off completely.
I've also been reading on the Eudora site, and have come across some
similar actions to take. One suggests type into the body of a new
message the following:
<X-Eudora-Option:AlwaysExcerptResponse=0>
then hold the alt key while clicking on this line. Check "OK" in the
"change option" window that appears. Now, this was posted in a Windows
forum but there's a similarity to what you posted above, here in Eudora
Mac. However, I can't raise anything resembling a "change option"
window.
The <X-Eudora-Option:AlwaysExcerptResponse=0> would be for setting an
^^^^^^
option on Windows Eudora. Since it has the setting ("=0") as part of
the command, it probably doesn't bring up an option window; it probably
just changes the option. (Since I don't have a Windows box, I can't
personally check that.)
To change an option on a Mac, you have to use a command of the format
<x-eudora-setting:_____>
^^^^^^^
Peter's example above of <x-eudora-setting:260> will bring up a dialog
box to change the setting for option #260. If you use
<x-eudora-setting:260=1>, it will change the setting to turn off the
format=flowed.
