I think exactly so, by that I haven't asked nothing more about this topic.

I'm a strong advocate to the open source software and I like its principles and strongly dislike the Microsoft (and other closed sources) policies, but I understand perfectly that a small company as OA may not have option.

I'm really grateful to Andy by his help to me when I started with Dolphin. At such moment I've promised to purchase a PRO version when I can get the needed money and I've fulfilled such promise some years ago.

But a short time after the purchase I was pretty sure that my own way would by the open source. I really believe in the freedom and sharing, but also in the power of the community behind a tool (Squeak is a good sample, with new tools and frameworks frequently as well as things of other dialects being migrated all the time).

I like, really LIKE Dolphin, but being tied to Windows is a big problem in my humble opinion as well as the fact of only Andy and Blair can develop new versions, write documentation, bring support,.....too much to only two guys.

In my personal opinion, another big concern is precisely Microsoft, and their position respect the not Microsoft development tools. They don't wants others dev tool more than their own Visual Studio. And they are all the time removing space to no MS tools. And they are guys that don't wants to share nothing, I really don't wants to work with products from MS or requesting MS products to run. But the point is that I think that sooner or later, Dolphin will need to do concessions to maintain its full MS compatibility (by example with .NET).

Then, what is the way? My own opinion is that a multiplatform, open source Smalltalk is the tool that I will select to develop software, but I'm not asking Andy and Blair to do such things........is only my opinion about the features of the tools I want to use. Only my opinion.

And don't wants to end without tell "Thanks You very much Andy and Blair by Dolphin Smalltalk"

Cheers.
