Apropos once upon a time ctrl+up worked - I kinda liked that.

For the mzscheme one use the svn-version. [Is this neccessary?]

It's GPL'd, so cannot be distributed with the rest. 

Hmm. How about a download-readline collection then, to make
it easier to add it?
