The website you are quoting is full of inaccuracies.
1) The first paragraph fails to mention that the incident happened in a
private location, where both parties involved were not even aware of each
other's position: it was a residential dispute.
2) The second paragraph calls the incident "discrimination", whereas it was
an exchange of slurs in private setting: she says "fat ***", he says "n_
b_". He did not discriminate against her in his role of adviser, as the
website implies, but rather employed offensive speech to her gender and
race.
The rest of the page continues on these false premises, and thus I do not
think it is a trustworthy source for evaluation of the incident. That is in
no way an endorsement of the other party.
And I can attest to the fact that there are not a lot of women in CS @
Berkeley, which is truly disappointing.
