Do you mean the YAML related problem?
Trying to install a gem with ruby 1.8.2 created by ruby 1.8.4
still gives:
ERROR: Error installing gem pkg/rant[.gem]: parse error on line 0,
col 31: `!ruby/object:Gem::Specification '

Gems created with ruby 1.8.2 work with all ruby 1.8.x (including
1.8.4) versions.
