Today I downloaded Ghostscript 8.61 for win32. When I used it to extract

Reader 8.11
Does anyone know whats the problem here and how to fix it, so that I get
normal "l"? The rest of the text is looking fine, and using the pstoedit
plot-svg driver I even get nice vector-graphics out of the document, but
even in these graphics the "l"s are distorted when trying to convert
them back to PDF using Inkscape 0.45.1.

Which "l"s? That document uses

Arial
ArialMT
TimesNewRomanPSMT
Helvetica
FranklinGothic-Medium
ArialNarrow
Times-Roman

among others. Some are embedded and others aren't. It's more likely to
be a problem with one of the fonts that a problem with ghostscript. And
what do you mean by "Convert -> pdfwrite"?
