Demo of error between Acrobat Reader 8 and HP Laserjet 4 SI MX printer
HP Laserjet 4 SI MX printer is a Postscript level 2 printer.
This is a old but very good ans solid printer.
This printer is 600dpi printer, with 10MB of memory
All Postscript print run very well (including very complex printing), except
printing from Adobe Reader 8 under Windows XP SP2.
Printing from older Adobe Acrobat or reader (7 or previous) were good.
Printing from Adobe reader 8 fail always
I have the same problem on a LaserJet 4M attached to a Solaris system. But
the problem does not seem to be related to Acrobat. When I get a PDF that
will not print, I try to use multiple programs to print it and it seems
to always fail, even if the program being used is set to only generate PS
level 2 code. The entire file goes to the printer which blinks away as it
receives it, but then it simply does not print. It is as though the printer
never received the end of job code (Ctrl-D ??). Does anyone have a suggestion?
