tactical solution for automating crystal reports to pdf files

Hi...

I need a tactical solution for the below problem:

We have 1000 reports to be created using crystal report and then these
reports needs to be archived in pdf format and then stored at location.
The current system does it but the time taken is so huge tht its not in
acceptable limits and also it hangs the whole system.

The tactical solution we are looking for should do:

Query the Sybase database -> generate reports in the specified
template/format -> convert this report into PDF file -> store these
reports at a location on hard disk.

There are around 1000 reports which are generated using the same SQL
query but different parameter.(again these parameters are stored in the
database).

and the whole process should be automated

Any idea/suggestion are highly appreciated
