I have several applications who update themselves.
They download a little file with the version number. If the version is
higher the program shuts down and launches a second program (exe).
This exe deletes the main program (exe) and downloads the new exe from

After downloading this new exe is launched.
With Vista this is impossible (deleting exe or dll or ocx). Also
downloading and replacing new dll's or ocx's is impossible.
At the moment I give my customers instructions how to start Vista as
administrator and run my program (I think 90% will do that with Vista
because running it as a user is almost impossible).
Why does Windows not allow me to replace my files??????
I could install my application in the application data folder.
I think the security in Vista is the worst there has ever been.
Everybody will learn to run as administrator with no security at all.

Does anybody have a solution?
