I[']m making a site[. E]ventua[l]ly this site is gonna have a lot of
registered user[s] and each of them will have the opportunity to have
a profile picture the size 150*200px saved it jpeg.
I want to give the users who doesnt have a great understanding of this
or does have the software installed, etc. the opportunity to do it
[that is, crop and scale photos] via [their Web browser].
Okaaay... but have you considered that there is literally /no one/
in the known universe who owns a computer with a Web browser and doesn't
also have a copy of Paint, the GIMP, IrfanView, or one of the myriad
other image-processing programs already in existence? Your target
audience is slim to none.
Paint sucks, crop and resize funktions is basicly non excisting. Yes
its true that many of us have gimp, paintshop pro, photoshop, etc. but
out of those who have it it is far from all who actually know how to
use it and still its far from everyone who have such a program. And
what about using the computer in scool, libery, etc?
And still, if you have a program and know how to use it its damn
enoying and i think most would think i was nice with an easy and fast
way to do it.
indeed...
[I'm] thinking that only [two] features will be [necessary]; zoom and
cut/crop. They may use picture of the type: gif, jpeg, png, bmp and
others that is webcompatible, any size and proportions, but in the end
they will end [up] on my server as jpeg 150*200px.
Okay, sure.

My original plan (i php) was to have the image in the background and af
frame the size of 152*202 thickness of 1px on top. The frame would then
stay the sme while you would be able to move the "background" image
around, zoom in and/or out and when the piece in the frame looks right,
you click the button, and the server does the math.
Sounds good to me. What's the problem?
The problem? do you know anything about php?
This is not the best way to go im sure, but now any reader of this post
should be able to understand what it is that i am looking for.
I think what you /need/ is Paint or IrfanView. But I think you've
accurately described already what you're /looking/ for. All that remains
is to decide whether it's worth all the trouble to design and code it,
and fix the bugs, and find the other bugs, and accidentally discover
the security holes, and...
I allready have photoshop, it not me who have a problem, i just want to
offer a service to those, when its finished, are going to use my site.
-Arthur,
by the way, I think your keyboard is broken
And what do you mean by that? Bad spelling or what? Im doing my best.

.
