What Camera for Imaq

 I need a camera to go with imaq vision and so
far have I have found that ieee 1394 would be a good way to start. I saw that I
would need a IIDC DCAM camera but after looking at the prices they were pretty
expensive. I was wondering what the cheapest method to set up a working camera
would be. USB type connections won?t work for me as I tried to install the
support but couldn?t get it to work. So I decided to buy a ieee 1394 card from
amazon. Do digital cameras work? Would I be able to connect a Canon Powershot
A620  to the ieee 1394 card  and have it processed through imaq and
labview? Also it would help if you could post what type of camera you are using
with your ieee card for reference.

For starters, I would only use the picture mode of the camera, not the video ... Go snap some pictures and keep the media in the camera for saving those ...
