What do you expect to be said? Your statement was that something that
(according to applicable specifications) cannot be expected to exhibit

Thank you, Henry. Most helpful. I did not know about these 'applicable specifications'.
I have consulted the Rhino book, 4th Edition. It has an index entry for 'scripts, execution order of', which point to 12.3.1 (on page 193).
It says there "JavaScript statements that appear between <script> and </script> tags are executed in order of appearance" and on the next page "scripts that use the src attribute ... like scripts that include their code directly in the file."
BTW, I didn't find any further information in the errata on the publisher's website.
It seems to me that the Rhino book also does not know about these specifications. Please would you elaborate.
