Yes, it would. Even if someone posts poor quality code, others can
edit it to make it sound rather than just posting fixes here. And
where there are differing, well presented and defended opinions...

My point with choosing Richard, Matt and the subject was that you will
never get Richard to agree with Matt (and probably vice versa) to the
point that you would end up with two entries. Or, you would end up with
100 pages of debate over every sentence that was written.

Taking that example further, while it would be good for them to
publish their own arguments, I don't think either Richard or Matt
necessarily need to publish anything personally. Someone else could
post a brief precise of what they said with a link to the thread and
if they want they can review it - or not.

But anyhow, enough gas bagging. The FAQ can stand for the moment.
Peter's idea of a repository is good but I think would discourage
contributions, much like a restricted wikki. So why not just setup a
wikki and see how it goes? We can always kill it off and go back to
the FAQ. :-)
