Re <FAQ**TRY> : ISTM over-optimistic to expect all responders to make
the change. But if originators are requested to put <FAQENTRY> at the
beginning of a line, then most will comply if only "accidentally". The
routine that searches for <FAQ..TRY> can then be modified to search with
/^\s*<FAQE..RY>. and should find predominantly the originals.
