Serial Data Acquisition in Forth

Hi!
I am using MSP43o with Forth in data acquisition and control applications. In order to analyze data on a PC, generally I use LabView or MatLab. To get the data over usb/ Serial bridge, I use Forth terminal (that might be emberrasing though). I find it slow, and that might not be the proper way.
Anyone to advise how to do? To clarify:
An embedded unit running control and measurement routines in Forth (Swiftx, 4e4th, MPE, ByVAC). A PC connected to the target with a serial port needs to acquire data and send commands. Should it use Terminal task, or should another serial communications routine be used?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Adnan Kurt
