That to me is a odd way to look at it. Color isn't a prefix in ColorForth, it's part of the word itself. So the interpretation of a word doesn't require a "prefix". I guess the difference is you're looking at it syntactically (you have to type the color prior to the word) and I'm looking at it semantically (the word and it's interpreter are one thing).
Of course, people should focus best on what is best for them, their
problems, and their coding style than justify choices based on any
individual.
And "Chuck might hate it" is always a bad argument, given that it's pure
speculation. I don't know if Chuck loves or hates it, or simply ignores it,
but so do most other people. If you want to follow Chuck, implement another
ColorForth.
There is loads of irony here. The fundamental idea I see ColorForth promoting is that programmers should create a language (and whole programming environment) that's specific to their needs. So while I can see people starting with some of the ideas in ColorForth, if you're not changing it to suit your work and your style, that suggests to me that your driver's license says "Charles Moore" on it.
