Hey...

I asked one question in the recent past and received an answer -- no
problems! Since I've been reading and lurking. I have another newbie
question -- and more will follow I'm sure! However, after reading this
group for a couple of weeks, I'm not at all sure that you Astro
Physicists, Mathematicians , Nuclear Physicists, Engineers and
Philosophers are interested in the piss-ass questions that I may have.
I say that will all due respect and admiration.

And so I ask: Are you folks aware of a non-denominational, Forth-
beginners mailing list or forum somewhere in geek-dom, where my
questions would be more appropriate?

The best place is right here. I don't remember your last question, but
I'll look now.

You wrote more than once:

I don't see the connection, unless you're saying that these folks use
Forth in their business??? L8r...

I'm sorry to have misled you.

I deleted that message within a minute of posting it, then replaced it
with a correction. The URL had beenwww.mpeltd.demon.co.uk/and I
remembered that it had changed, but got the new URL wrong. When I got
the page you did, I corrected my mistake. Evidently, not soon enough.

Well I'm not much of A GUI type of person. I would like to have a go
at applying Forth to CGI/database stuff eventually. Would GForth be
suited for this? Thanks for the tip. L8r...

When James wrote that Gforth is a Windows Forth, he meant a Forth that
runs on a Windows system. If that wasn't clear, why sulk ten days, then
return with your nose out of joint?

Are you running Windows, or something else?

Jerry....

My nose IS NOT out-of-joint! I'm NOT pissed about *anything*. My
previous questions were *all* answered appropriately. I simply meant
to say that I feel out-of-place!! Like a H.S. student sitting in on a
lecture in Graduate School, eg. I felt that if I continued asking
newbie questions here, I might be imposing on this groups' time and
graciousness.
