slow tps on NetWare

Let me first start by saying I know little to nothing about Clarion
databases. However, I have been asked to look into a performance issue
at one of our remote locations that apparantly has an outside developed
clarion application using TPS files. The database is stored on a
NetWare server and performance is horrible!!! I've duplicated the
issue here at my office and have tested it on NetWare 5.1 and 6.5 (both
tradition and NSS) and perf is horrible. It runs fine on a Window 2003
server and fine as well on a Linux/Samba share. I've also removed
client/32 from the picture and just ran the MS client for NetWare which
didn't change the performance issues. I've changed numerous settings
on the NetWare server (Oplocks, sig levels, etc....). I've ran
numerous packet traces and basically, when I run my test, it floods the
network with the following three requests: (btw, the retransmission is
some kind of bug with Ethereal as they're really not there). Also,
I've seen other threads on this board regarding re-compiling to MySql,
but I don't know how large of a task this would be.

Anyway, any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
