Here we go again. A User asks why a entire main menu item has been REMOVED
from Realbasic.

RB2006
Hi,
I've just bought RB 2006 and I've just noticed the extras menu is missing.
I was using a little program I wrote to add a comment with my initials and
the current date.
How can I do this in RB2006 ?
Thanks in advance,
Jules. "
And what does the Windows traitor Aaron Ballman say:
"he extras menu wasn't cross-platform (at least, not very easily
x-platform) and was really only useful on the Mac (for Apple Scripts) for
the most part. It's been replaced by IDE scripts, which are
cross-platform and use RBScript.
Under File->IDE Scripts you should see a place where you can write a
simple script to replace what you used under the extras menu."
Yes, because something was helpful for the Macintosh platform it should be
removed. Yes, who cares if Realbasic was originally made for the Macintosh
only and if it was not for the previous long term support of Mac users the
company would not exist. This is a perfect example of how much loyalty Real
Software shows its customers - NONE!
This is perfect example what you get when your main developer is Mac hater
- he openingly stated on his own blog he personally chooses to avoid the
Macintosh. So then Mac users do you really RB is going to get any better
for us? Why on earth would they if Rs is willing to things such as this at
a time when Windows users have grown to nearly 50%. What do think they
will do when Win32 is 70%; but then you'll also have to worry about there
being more Linux users than Mac users because the fact remains there are
more potential Linux users.
Mac users are nothing more than temporary cash cows RS is using to make
their product better for Windows and Linux.
Windows users you frankly deceving yourself also. Many of you started
using RB because of MS's actions toward Visual Basic, but the only thing
you've did is wlk into the den of another lion willing to eat and shit you
out just the same. Think about this for a momet - would you do business
with a company that betrayed its orginal customer base so it could sell
more units to other customers who were not around until recent times.
Surely you would do this to your own customers would you? Then why are you
doing business with a company that does? It makes you just as ethically
wrong for doing business with them.
