As you know Window application use function keys. there are a series of
basic function keys used across many application and certain functions
used in unique ways. For example, F1, is used in almost all Windows
application to bring up "Help" for the application.
Yet, after 10 years, REALbasic has yet to fix this issue. When you edit a
menu you are suppose to be able to assign to menuitems a shortcut, yet the
properties window/pallet doe snot let you assign function keys to the
menuitems. You can't, for example, assign "F1" to a menitem - nor can you
display it - or display "Alt+F1", you can't use any of the other function
keys that Windows user expect to see, and as the property window/pallet
allows you to do.
Its been 10 years now! There is simply no excuse for this!
