Small Claims Action - Licensed Expired w/ No Fix To RB Bugs (which have been around for over a year)

Dear Realsoftware,
I purchased a license to RB2005, and was under the assumption that this
was a fully working product. To this date, your releases have not even
attempted to address the fact that your software is not retail quality.
This product should have never come out of BETA with the amount of
software bugs and errors that are being reported, and are clearly
apparent.
During the licensing purchase, I was given a 1-year term in which I was
able to download new updates to fix such bugs; however, no updates that
were released fixed ANY of the issues. The updates have, in fact,
introduced more bugs.
With the release of RB2005, under the Windows IDE, there is a severe
Copy & Paste shortcut issue which was never addressed. With the release
of RB2006, a bug was introduced with will not allow you to copy & paste
existing "Methods". This is just a few of the bugs I run into on an
EVERYDAY basis, which I feel should have been addressed while my license
was in effect.
As of February 5th, my licenses for updates have expired. I am now
left with a software product that is in a condition where I can not
effeciently continue to use. I purchased the product/license under the
impression that it was thoroughly tested, and contained a minimal amount
of imperfections; however, this is not the case. I feel I've been
highly mislead, and misguided on the fact that during the initial year
of "product support" which allowed updates of your bugs, all these
issues would have been addressed. As of today, they have not.
On February 20th, 2006 I will be filing a small claims suit against
RealSoftware for these purposes. I've been frustrated beyond my
limits with this company, and their total lack of support in regards
to the flaws in their product, and their lack of appropriate fixes in
due time.
Please, if anybody would like to also address this situation please
contact me at "optrenium ** AT ** sbcglobal.net". I will, if permission
is granted, share your experience as well with the judge in the case.
Respectfully,
Eric D. Brown
.
