This sounds like a job for APLWikiMan...
We have these periodic eruptions, and they tend to get resolved then
forgotten until next time. Can't help feeling that it would be good to
have a reference page which lays out how to configure all the various bits
of software we use for reading and writing mail/news.
Maybe even a matrix of send/receive combinations we know work.
Probably a good candidate for the Wiki because it needs input from lots of
people.
I'll try to get something started there in the next few days - unless
someone (please) beats me to it.
Long overdue!
