Thanks for your reply
NAT is not a sloution for my problem as i know
i already have a real IP address and domain name i configured my
machine with real ip
all i want to do is to attach that machine on same switch acting as
gateway to computers with private ips then expose it to the gateway
which is my third or fourth network hop to the internet you can
configure it as follows i wanna attach web server with real ip address
to a swtich which acting as a gateway to computers with private ips that
switch is connected to other switch which connected to the internet
gateway
And you really do believe that your network guys will let you expose a
machine not under their control on a secured LAN to the public internet?
That's what a DMZ is for. If they use VLANs on the switches, it might be
possible to provide the public IP network on your switch port, otherwise
I don't think they will patch your port to the public part of their network,
as this will probably involve running new cable in the building or at least
between racks. Listen to them and just move your machine.
