Then it is obvious your knowledge is limited to MS Windows. I will
spell it out for you, there are systems out there without *any* of
fonts that you have listed. My Kubuntu & Mandrake boxes have neither
the oversized MS fonts Verdana & Tahoma, the Ubuntu box has only a
Verdana because the MS core TT fonts are installed, I cannot speak
for other distros.

I'll confirm that (K)Ubuntu standard systems do not have Verdana,
Tahoma, and other Windows fonts installed on a standard setup. The users
would have to specifically go to the package manager and look for the
somewhat cryptic 'msttcorefonts' and tick the Install box. If they knew
they should do that...
