i'm a c/java programmer of more than 6 years experience,i've tried
Dreamweave for a few days and it doesn't do these kind of job,

You can use templates in Dreamweaver and you can fine tune your
settings, or you can code everything by hand. Dreamwever is using
Presto layout engine so the preview should be okey.

But for an c/java programmer i think an html editor is overkill. With
a feature rich text editor, you could do the same thing. A template is
most of the time just search and replace in multiple files. Syntax
highlighting would/could also highligh missing end tags an show you
code that is not well formed. Just use regular browsers to preview
your work.

Thanks ur advice for leading me into html/css
Since BlueGriffon is not ready yet, try KompoZer:

<http://kompozer.sourceforge.net/>

I don't see how KompoZer would do that "kind of jobs" better than
Dreamweaver.

You mentioned Text Editor, to which I would like to direct you to the
one that I use; Notepad++ however, it does not fit within the OP's
desire to be led into html/css.

I don't recommend Dreamweaver because from what I've read, it doesn't
comply with the OP's second (2:) requirement.

It does if you don't use the WYSI(A)WYG mode, and avoid the supplied
templates. But then that's one awfully expensive text editor, albeit
with code colouring, tag completion, contextual menus, validation,
easy doctype conversion, and sftp tools. My excuse is I get educational
pricing on the various creative suites...
