Safari/Firefox compatibility

I have built a site using a free html template...(www.stoykova.eu) ...
so far so good. Everything appears to work properly with IE 6.0 and IE
7.0, but Macintosh-using friends (with Safari and Firefox) report that
the navigation bar running vertically in the centre of the pages is
not operational. Can something please tell me how to modify the code
to make the site compitable with all browsers.
Thanking you for your expert advice!
John
