Our non-profit agency was interviewed on local TV. The TV station has
the clip on their web site. However, I'm concerned that it will soon
go away.
Is there any way for me to capture that video clip, so I can put it on
our web site (after getting permission, etc) ?
it's at:

How would I download or capture a video clip?
Empty your disk cache and then bring up the site and play the video. You'll
find the video in your cache.

Thank you Ed. That worked for one file. It created a .flv file in my
Temporary Internet Files folder. However, for the other one, the file
that ends up is a .dat file, which seems to be a useless files type. I
tried renaming it as .flv and I tried .wma, but that didn't seem to
work. Do you know what the .dat would mean in this case?
No idea. It could be anything.
I also tried Windows Media Recorder. Maybe my DSL internet connection
is too slow, because it ended up very choppy, so it's unusable.
Do you have any other ideas to allow me to save/capture it?

Are you interested in only this one clip? (The one I saw was about a new
area code.)
scroll down, about 6 minutes. (There could be others later)
That's actually a 3 digit phone number and referral service that my
non-profit offers. It's not an area code. 2-1-1 is a free, non-
emergency, confidential, 3-digit phone number and service that
provides easy access to housing information, and critical health and
human services.

Bill, I think you ought to follow the other fellow's suggestion and download
WM Recorder from <http://www.wmrecorder.com/index.php>. They have a liberal
trial period, so you should be able to make a one-time recording (up to 5
minutes).
