No, I don't believe you can. However, you should be able to take a
screengrab of your vector graphic at any scale factor you please, or save it
out to a bitmap format, thereby guaranteeing that the bitmap you use in its
place has the optimum size for the scene. AS a rule of thumb if your vector
image is destined to take up an area of x*y pixels (of course, that won't
necessarily be a regular shape), take a screengrab of it at size 2x * 2y
pixels or 3x * 3y. Then it should scale down reasonably well without any
jagged edges being apparent.
If you save a vector graphic as a bitmap, double-check what size the
aplpication saves it at. You might need to scale the graphic first, then
save it, in order to get a bitmap of the right size for its intended use in
PoV.
