No, I am not experiencing that (XP Home SP2).

I upgraded a week ago (to the StudioQuartet), and I have not yet gone beyond
installing and test-driving. But it appears to work as expected.

I remember that I ran Norton WinDoctor (before and) after this installation,
and that several errors occurred. If my memory serves me right, then most of
them boiled down to references to one file.

Whatever, running your choice of utility to check the integrity of your
system might be recommended.
