Re: Why do Adobe programs stall?

Response from "joiful02" <joiful02@xxxxxxxxxxx>:

I have CS and PSE 5 on my computer (running XP Pro with 2 G
ram)..... all my programs run just fine, but these programs keep
"not responding"....... Anyone have an idea why?
Thanks,

Like everyone else said, I have never had the "not responding" state,
but definitely see a lot of hang in the larger Adobe products.

Then again, I am running a 1.06GHz Mobile processor with 1GB of RAM.

If you continuously get "not responding" then something is
conflicting with something.

Although on further thought... I have always wondered how fast of a
machine it would take to be able to run 2 Adobe giants at the same
time.

I would LOVE to run Flash and Photoshop at the same time for example.
My other machine is a 2.93GHz with only 512MB RAM (have not upgraded
it yet) and I can run them well enough I guess, but RAM is quickly
obliterated.
