Open the project in ImageReady. In the Slices palette, under Type you
can select "No Image." I'm not sure what the checkbox "Text is HTML"
does. It's a good idea to put some dummy text in the "Text:" box in the
Slices palette; it'll help you find that particular slice. You can open
the source file in your text reader, find the dummy text and replace it
with the stuff you want.
Having just done a project in ImageReady, here's another tip. By
default, IR names the images it produces as
projectname+slice+rollover-state.ext. In other words, if your IR
project is named "home" you will generate images with names like
"home_home03_over.gif." If you create a new page by Save As.. and
renaming it, you will make new images with names like
"newpage_newpage03_over.gif." Every image will be saved again under a
different name. If you want your site to use the same collection of
images, you'd have to go into each page and take out the project name.
Instead, go to File>Output Settings>Saving Files and set IR to save
only Slice Name + underscore + rollover state + .ext
Now your images will have the same names from one page to the next. To
save your sanity, go back to the Slice palette and give each slice a
useful name like "logo" instead of "index00".
