Well, just so everyone else knows here, the .obj format (Wavefront)
is the only format that Vue will except with the UV maps.
No other format allows for UV maps.
If you don't need UV maps, then the Poser format would be the way to go.
Technically, I think Vue tries to do a conversion of whatever format Poser
objects
use for texturing, but it's not listed as actual UV maps, just as none of
the others are either.
Poser content is wavefront format obj files, with intact UV maps (in most
cases). Some poser freebies will use only proceedural textures, but almost
all commercial poser products use uv mapping and textures.
Though a lot of the old stuff has poor quality uv mapping, the newer items
are great.
And excellent plant source is Runtime RDNA.. their plants are top notch, and
Daz's Platinum club has quite a number of excellent plants that can be used
in Vue.
And none of that stuff is locked from use in other programs, either.
