If your PCs will only be rendering, then the graphics cards are pretty much
useless. Rendering will only use RAM and CPU - ask if they can give you
cheaper cards, or else when they arrive sell them on EBayto get some cash
back.

Remember that LWSN is single-threaded, so you'll have to run two instances
on each PC to make use of the dual-core processor, and this means that each
will only have 1GB RAM available to each - personally, I'd save money on
graphics cards and increase the RAM in your system.

On the other hand, if you're using the PCs as workstations as well as for a
renderfarm, then it's worth going for decent video cards. I'm a bit out of
touch with the new graphics cards, so can't really comment on what's best at
the moment.

The 64-bit Athlons will run 32-bit code just fine. I haven't personally
used lightwave on a 64-bit machine, but I can't see any reason for it not to
work.

The big advantage of 64-bit is that it allows you to access more than 4GB
RAM (32-bit machines are limited to around 3.5GB in practice).
