Re: OT, but I need some help

Yeah, I know about Firefox and Mozilla and the others, I just still like to use IE.
I just don't like the feel of those other programs, but I DO have them installed and use them all the time too.
Some sites work better in IE, and others in one of them Firefox or Mozilla apps.
Mainly, my web site doesn't load up in anything else but IE, unless you hit the Home Button.
And I have no clue how to fix it, and since my Browsers Home Page is mine,
I hate seeing it load up with a bunch of html code every time.
I have a friend who's going to help me, but that won't be for a while yet :)

Anyway........
Now that Scott Cameron helped me out, I know it was just something lame.
I had recently reformatted my system and did a fresh install of the OS and all that,
like do always do on a regular basis, about every 6 or 7 months.
I "thought" I had unchecked every single setting in all the apps
and internet options and like that, but it was just one button that I had turned on, called Active, in AdWatch.
Unchecked it, and now everything works fine as it was, so I'm back to being a happy camper.
And thanx Scott, you ruled!................md :)

Mark,
I no longer use IE unless I absolutely have to. This is only for sites
that require IE. Most do not.

I use Firefox on both the Mac and PC. Also, Opera works very well
with popups, allowing you to setup all popups, only important ones,
etc. It filters pop ups quite well.

Maybe some of you here are smart about this and can help me out?
I know I can use other web browsers, but I generally like to use IE for
most things,
though I have though I'm not sure that any of this is truely related to
one browser or another?
But, I have tried dissabling the popup blockers in the internet options
panel as well as in AdAware,
but popups still keep going away the minute they try and pop up, and I
NEED some of these popups
to stay! popped up, as they are forms and other things like that that I
need to be able to view.
Why can't I view them?
What do I do, and please don't say that I'm "forced" to have to
use some other browser, simply because most people don't like IE :)
I have my own personal reasons for using IE most of the time.

Thanx and you can email me privately, so as to keep this off this forum.
