| Err.. more likely you lost out.

Well it does seem I've lost out on that piece of my happiness which is yours to meter out.

| Not as dumb as using a coin to make choices.

Since you think a pouring money in the trash is more sensible than flipping a coin, I don't think I'll take your advice too seriously.

Or perhaps I've already won.
I've had my share of free technical support that's worth every penny.
50% of the upgrades I've gotten from Newtek, *should not be installed* according to Newtek.
The latest release is so buggy, it's probably already been labeled "do not install" by the free technical support department, now how much are you ready to pay for such stellar performance?
9 will be out soon enough, I've got my coin in my pocket ...
Okay, my head is spinning on my shoulders, here. ;)
Excuse me, what technical support department are you talking to? I know that ours is not saying any such thing regarding any of the updates, let alone 8.3, let alone the notion of saying it about 50% of them. What's beig said about 8.3 by a good many customers is that it is in fact the most stable version we've provided since 5.6. Unless you are referring to the fact that each update is supposed to be cumulative, so if you have 8.0, then you just install the most recent download, and don't need the intervening updates. That's done as a convenience for the users, and any comment from Tech that you don't need to install the others is not intended as an indictment of the previous releases and construeing it that way is in error.
I can understand you being upset that Paul's reaction to your own harsh comments was quite harsh in turn; but your response does not accurately describe the situation, as the overwhelming majority of customers have found the 8.x series is making good progress in terms of feature additions and most especially in terms of the stability of the product.
And if you want to see something more from NewTek, please rest assured that at SIGGRAPH, we'll have plenty of "something more" to show.
