How can I get hold of the COMPLETE pic? The file size is about 33 kByte, so it

If the image is JPEG, it can contain a small preview bitmap. It appears
that your file is truncated, and while the preview bitmap is complete, the
picture itself isn't.

It ORIGINALLY was a picture of about 2800 x ??? pixels, and THEN was truncated
(expression correct ?).

BUT in the preview the ORIGINAL picture still can be seen, of course in a very
reduced size, that means: shrunk. The file has only some 33 kBytes.

When I "open" the file with GIMP, I can only get the truncated part, but have
found no way to access the preview part of the .jpg-file.

I found no way to get hold of that preview part. But - as it IS stored in the
..jpg - there MUST be a way, because the filemanager somehow accesses it...
