Re: Batch Applications

It came with software called PhotoFunStudio. This software
allows BATCH
affixing of dates to photos and BATCH renaming of files. Both
of these
features are very important to me. However, what is missing is
the ability
to add text directly to the photo. Also, I am not impressed
with the font
size that PhotoFun Studio uses to insert dates. Font is much
too large, distracting when viewing the photo.

It would be nice for me, (wishful thinking), if I had a
software program that did BATCH features noted above and
possibly a BATCH feature to add text directly to photos.

Does GIMP have BATCH features?

There is a tutorial about GIMP's batch mode:
http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Basic_Batch/

If not, is there any software that does these three features.

And ImageMagick, which is a command-line set of utilities, will
do what you want. There seems to be more information available
for doing this in ImageMagick than GIMP. I use it myself for a
similar set of operations.
