Photogrametry algorithms (3D from 2D images)

Hi,
I am trying to find anything related to photogrametry. I know that it's
not frequently used word, so I'm looking for "3D from 2D images" and
some other keywords that come to my mind, but does anybody have any
better ideas?
I would like to reconstruct camera position and orientation from set of
2D photos with reference points marked on them. I found the thread on
this news group but it is from like 1999 so I would like to know if
since there anything new appeared? I've heard that there is open source
library published somewhere but I just can't find proper keywords
apparently because google gives me nothing :(
Does anyone have any links, news, anything that would help me?
