I learnt to use google some time ago, thanx - but reading both sides of all
the arguments I get the impression that there isn't a great deal of
difference between the two other than availability. PCs are abundantly
available, Macs come from specialists. I can build a PC with parts from any
number of different manufacturers, but Macs come from Mac dealers. Anyone
can repair a PC, Macs need to be tended by Apple Authorized Personel.

I see a couple of Pro Mac people like to use the Car Analogy -
Macs are like a Mercades Benz - Expensive but reliable with a high build
quility.
PCs are lke Ford Escorts - Cheap and dont last so long.

I would argue this -
Macs are like a Mercades Benz - Expensive but reliable with a high build
quility. You need a Mercedes Benz garage and mechanic to maintain them.
PCs are like all others cars - Ford Escorts, Ferraris, Skodas, Lotus's,
Dodges, Volvos, etc... Cheap as you like or as expensive as you can afford.
All grades of reliability. Any garage and mechanic can look after them.
Also, the PC can be built with parts from different manufacturers -
effectivly like building a car using Ford, Ferrari, Skoda, Lotus, Dodge and
Volvo parts.

Arguing that one is better than the other on a hardware or software basis
seems fruitless - one will always be slightly better than the other at
different times because they are in competition. One responds to the other
as they both continually evolve.

Overall, I will stick with my PC - the poplular Jack-Of-All-Trades, rather
than the obscure single minded Mac.

Oh, and saying that Mac users are less dumb that PC users still implies that
Mac users are dumb too.
