How to do this (jde-mode, ecb and semantic)

Hi All,

I was playing with emacs and java, using jde-mode, ecb and semantic,
and somehow I switched to the mode where I could point the variable
(using a cursor), and in the minibuffer I could see that variable, its
type, and some other information. But I do not know if that was
possible by changing some options in ecb or semantic, and I cannot
reproduce that ( but really would like to ).

Another question - is it possible somehow to customize the font-lock
for the methods of java classes? I would like to specify myself the
color, basically, for anything that is after the "dot" ( like in
z.get() ). I seems to be impossible to do with the standard and jde-
mode fontification.

Thanks in advance.
