greetings
I am working on the simlation of RFID system ,the problem that i am
encountering is that my transmitted baseband signal is real and when i give
it as input to the free space path loss block in simulink it gives me an
error indicating that only complex signal must be given as an input to free
space path loss ,i dont know how to fix the problem, can somebody give me a
hint.

sorry I cannot help you with that question but I do have another point
for you to think about,,,

I am not familiar specifically with simulink, but in general "free
space path loss" implies FAR FIELD conditions where the distance
between antennas is large compared to a wavelenth and the physical
size of the antennas. Most RFID applications are NEAR FIELD
situations so unless simulink is specifically set up to handle NEAR
FIELD conditions, your results will be wrong.
