Aliens share with the gods the property that we will never know if they
exist or have any direct contact with them. They are, for all purposes,
beyond out event horizon. For me, that renders your question irrelevant.

Why do you assume the future of the human race is so limited? Physics
has shown us no fundamental roadblock to exploring the universe. It has
only shown that travel to distant stars by rocket look pretty
unrealistic. :-)

The Quasar idea is a good one!

Amusing, certainly. The signals we see from them now originated before
the earth was formed. The signals they emit "now" won't reach here until
after the earth is gone.

I'm glad you put "now" in quotes.

From the frame of reference of the EM radiation, it left the pulsar
NOW and arrived here at the same NOW.

Light (from its own persective) travels in 0 time.
