I want to build an analog balanced modulator. In the textbooks,
usually you use two center tap transformers and a diode bridge. Would
it be possible to substitute the two center tap transformers with some
other components, like capacitors?
(I would like the balanced modulator to operate in the FM range (88Mhz
- 108 MHz))

what is the application for a balanced modulator at 88 to 108 MHz?
I know balanced modulators are often used in FM stereo encoders but
these operate at audio and 38 kHz to create a sub-carrier which is then
FM modulated onto the main RF carrier at 88 to 108 MHz. In the
application of a stereo encoder, the balanaced modulator itself does
not operate at 88 to 108 MHz. But perhaps my guess about your
application is incorrect.
