Hi,
I hope this is not too far off topic.
I want to build an analog balanced modulator. In the textbooks,
usually you use two center tap transformers and a diode bridge. Would
it be possible to substitute the two center tap transformers with some
other components, like capacitors?
(I would like the balanced modulator to operate in the FM range (88Mhz
- 108 MHz))
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Jaco,
Have a look at the double balanced modulator modules offered by Minicircuits. It is not worth building one yourself.
